OKBET LEAGUE OF LEGEND NEWS : LCS CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFFS ROUND2

The Okbet League of Legends Championship Series began in the latter half of August, and, true to form, the playoffs have been every bit as unpredictable as they have been in the past. The top seed and team in form, Evil Geniuses, was eliminated by Cloud9, sending them to the lower bracket. This was the first shocking result of the tournament. Team Liquid is now in the same position as 100 Thieves, but the latter team was responsible for Team Liquid’s elimination from the winner’s bracket.

Predictions are very impossible to make at this point, but one thing that is certain is that the competition for first place will be intense and close. There isn’t much of a gap between the top three teams, and from here on out, every game should be an all-out battle. Only two of the four teams that play on Friday and Saturday will advance to the next round of the loser’s bracket, which is effectively a knockout bracket.

LCS CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFFS ROUND2 PREVIEW

TSM

TSM can take a lot of heart from the way they’ve played thus far, despite the fact that they began the competition in the loser’s bracket. Through the entirety of the regular season, FlyQuest outpaced TSM, ultimately finishing with four more wins and a higher seed. A fight broke out between the two teams when they faced each other in the first round of the loser’s bracket at the tournament. Tony “Instinct” Ng and Colin “Solo” Earnest led the push for TSM to take the lead with 10 kills between them. TSM took the lead.

FlyQuest were abruptly thrown off their game, and they came back to take a 2-1 lead with swift, one-sided victories that were finished in less than 27 minutes. In order to advance to the fourth round, FlyQuest needed just one more victory, but TSM wasn’t going to give it to them.

They defeated FlyQuest with a kill count of 20, bringing the score to even. After a fight that lasted for 42 minutes, TSM emerged victorious in the series. This isn’t the first time that TSM have surprised everyone this season, and it’s possible that they are more optimistic about their prospects versus Evil Geniuses who are still in shock.

EVIL GENIUSES

Evil Geniuses, who are currently sitting atop the League of Legends LCS rankings, do not belong in the loser’s bracket. Nevertheless, they find themselves in that position. EG, the team that had the best regular season record and was the prohibitive favorite to win the championship, was defeated by Cloud9 by a score of 1-3, a result that sent shockwaves reverberating throughout the community. EG is currently in a state of disbelief.

After C9 took an early lead in Game 1, EG were totally outcompeted by their opponents. This was made possible by the astute gathering of important neutral objectives performed by Robert “Blaber” Huang. Because of some shrewd play by Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami, C9 is now in a position to win the upcoming game as well, and EG is now staring down the barrel of a pistol. The fourth match was the most competitive of the bunch because neither team could pull ahead to a significant degree.

After a fight that lasted for more than 37 minutes, EG emerged victorious. EG needed to win in order to push the series into the final game, however Cloud9 played a meticulous and cautious game, which ultimately resulted in them being eliminated from the competition without any ceremony.

GAMING USING COUNTER LOGIC

After suffering a defeat at the hands of Cloud9 in a match that was close and tightly matched between two teams that were both determined to take it to the very last minute of the match, CLG was demoted to the lower bracket. In the end, Cloud9 emerged victorious despite the fact that it was a close race. The CLG series against Golden Guardians, on the other hand, caused quite a bit of consternation.

It ought to have been 3-0 in CLG’s favor, but the result of 3-2 between the fourth and eighth seeds was virtually unimaginable. They were able to get out to an early lead in the first game, but after that it was a back-and-forth battle until the fifth and deciding game of the series.

In a humiliating turn of events for CLG, it was GG that gained the lead early on by seizing all of the neutral objectives other than the second Herald. Finally, around the 21-minute mark, “Palafaker” took control of a fight and led his team to victory. His double kill earned CLG approximately 5,000 gold and provided them the advantage they needed to win the game. Following this, CLG were able to successfully conclude the match.

The new appearance of the CLG is one that is young, lively, and unpredictable; they are the proverbial dark horses that have taken the LCS by storm and have been a source of astonishment and delight at every turn. This will go down as a memorable season for them, and regardless of where they end up being seeded in the playoffs, the lessons they take away from this split will be extremely valuable.

TEAM LIQUID

After suffering a loss to 100 Thieves by a score of 2-3, TL have been placed in the lower group. The previous time that these two teams competed against one another in the LCS playoffs, TL won the first two games until 100 pulled off a reverse sweep by winning the next three games to push TL into the loser’s bracket.

Now, practically the complete opposite of what was expected took place. 100 started off by sweeping the first two matches, and they were sure that they could win the series 3-0. TL, however, found themselves in a difficult position and refused to give up without a fight. Bjergsen handed TL an early game lead by having his team battle around the first Herald, and from that point on, they slowly increased on their advantage to bring the series score to 2-1.

They were able to jump out to an early lead in the fourth match by completing all of the objectives on the map in the first 20 minutes of the match, which allowed them to do so before the game entered its second quarter. The teamfights were brutal, but TL emerged victorious, and the match was forced into a decisive fifth game. Nevertheless, despite TL having scored the game’s first point, 100 demonstrated why they are a top-tier unit by winning the series 3-2. TL will be eager to give them another shot, but before they can do that, they must first accomplish a difficult task: overcoming the unpredictability of CLG.
